Night at the Museum

A Dinner by Chef Sam Buckley & Greater Manchester Youth Network

Step into the Living Worlds gallery at Manchester Museum for an extraordinary evening of community and storytelling. A Night at the Museum a culmination of a journey shared between acclaimed chef Sam Buckley (Where The Light Gets In) and the young people of the Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN).

Over the past months, GMYN participants have worked alongside Sam and a network of skilled growers, makers, and craftspeople. Through a series of hands-on workshops, Sowing and Growingwith Jo from MUD at Platt Fields Market Garden, Pickling with Holly Pickles, Bread Making with Companio Bakery, and Butchery with Littlewoods Butcher, they have explored what it means to nurture and share food.

This very special evening celebrates their collective work. Each dish on the menu carries the imprint of many hands and the knowledge passed between generations and communities. Guests will dine in the museum’s atmospheric galleries, with the young people sitting side by side with fellow diners, a living expression of hospitality and curiosity.
