CHANGES To WTLGI
As of September 2025, we are changing to a 5-course sharing menu. Still with the same sourcing, produce and ethos to our tasting menu, however, it’s served in fewer courses and in more generous portions. Tables are yours for 2 hours.
It’s worth noting we are not catering to allergies or dietary requirements for the first month of this new chapter, whilst we settle into our new service. From October onwards we are able to accommodate vegetarian and pescatarian diets. We will not be able to cater for vegans or guests with allergies/intolerances to dairy, gluten or eggs.
The chefs’ table will always be open to walk-ins, offering wines and cocktails by the glass, along with a bar menu for those who just want a drink and a small bite.
What are your opening times?
We open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday at 6pm, taking our last booking at 8:30 pm. We also serve lunch on Saturday only which can be booked between 12pm & 1.30pm. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your reservation if you wish to have a drink before your meal. Or our bakery Yellowhammer (located 1 minute from us at 15 Lower Hillgate, SK1 1JQ) is also open until 10pm on Thursday & Friday for a pre-reservation glass or from 10am on Saturdays for a pre-lunch coffee!
What is the cancellation policy?
You can alter, reschedule or cancel your reservation with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Changes outside of this period or no-shows will be subject to a menu cover charge per guest at our discretion. You are of course also welcome to pass your reservation on to another guest.
How much is our tasting menu?
We serve a 5-course sharing menu for £75pp. A discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to your bill when you dine. 100% of the service charge is distributed among all staff members by a designated employee.
We offer a succinct list of wines by the glass and bottle that changes every evening, plus a pairing experience alongside the menu. If you have something special in mind that you would like to discuss please email us on bookings@wtlgi.co
What are your drink options?
We are located at the very top of Rostron Brow, just opposite St Mary’s Church next 1 Market Place. If you face down Rostron Brow and look to your right, you will see two sets of steps that lead up to a door with a large round light above it - this is our entrance.
How do we find you?
Do you have a car park?
We do not have a car park that is connected to the restaurant, but Churchgate Car Park next to St Mary’s Church is free of charge after 6pm, and is just across the road from the restaurant.
Do you have wheelchair access?
Our restaurant is in a listed converted coffee warehouse from the 1900s. Unfortunately, the restaurant is located up two flights of stairs so it does not offer wheelchair access.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
We are unable to cater for allergies or dietary requirements for the month of September. From October onwards we are able to accommodate vegetarian and pescatarian diets. We will not be able to cater for vegans or guests with allergies/intolerances to dairy, gluten or eggs.
If you have any questions, please contact us before your reservation is made.
We have no dress code, so feel free to dress as smart or as casual as you like.
What is your dress code?
If you want to make a booking using a voucher, please visit Tock to search for an available date and time. Once you have found availability, please call 0161 477 5744 or email bookings@wtlgi.co with your voucher details and we will book it into our system on your behalf. Please note our office hours are 10am-4pm Wednesday to Friday.
How do I use my gift voucher?
There are some very nice hotels situated a few miles away from us, including Didsbury House Hotel, Eleven Didsbury Park and Odd fellows on the Park.
We will always be happy to arrange taxis for you.
Do you recommend any accommodation?
Our policy is that babies or children are not allowed in the restaurant. The environment and dining room layout make it unsuitable for anyone not old enough to be able to sit as guests partaking in the full experience. We also have our other guests to consider and to ensure everyone can enjoy a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The physical restrictions of our listed premises also make it difficult for the access of prams. Regrettably we are also not equipped with highchairs or baby changing facilities.
Please email us with any enquiries - bookings@wtlgi.co
Can I bring children to the restaurant?
Can I bring a dog to the restaurant?
Our kitchen and dining room constitute one shared and open space and so we do not allow dogs into WTLGI for hygiene reasons. An exception can of course be made for service dogs.
